Muhammad

Who is Muhammad?
Muhammad  مُحَمَّد  was raised by his uncle as both of his parents have passed away. He was raised illiterate, unable to read or write. Muhammad was very religious and he had long detested the decadence and idolatry of his society.

At the age of 40, Muhammad received his first revelation from Allah through Angel Jibrail in the cave in Mount Hira near Mecca. This revelation which continued for 23 years is known as the Quran.

Allah said “Muhammad is no father to any man among you but He is rather the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets. Indeed Allah has full of knowledge of all things”. (Quran Al-Ahzab, 33:40)

Angel Jibrail communicated to Muhammad the following divine message:
With the name of God, The Most Merciful, the All-Merciful,
Read: With the name of thy Lord Who created,
Created the man from what clings,
Read: and thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, Who taught by the pen,
Taught man what he knew not. (Quran Al Alaq, 96:1-5)

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a perfect example of being a honest, truthful, compassionate, merciful and brave human being. Furthermore, in all his actions and dealings, he was mindful and fearful of Allah.

Hadith compilations are records of the traditions or sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Muslims say or write the name of Prophet Muhammad, they usually follow it with Peace be upon him (SallAllahu Allahi Wa Sallam).

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said Verify the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly and precisely, he will be the company of the noble and obedient Angels. And as for who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses because he or she doesn't know how to read it but trying to thus he will have TWICE that reward.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said Do not hold back (from giving to people and helping them), or Allah will withhold His Mercy and Blessings from you. Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 513
