Today, We are one of 7.7 billion people on Earth. There are 195 countries in the World. Nearly one-fourth of the world’s population today is Muslim. The Muslim population is a diverse community of believers spanning the globe.
World's Muslim population are expected to grow twice as fast as Non-Muslims in next 20 years according to a controversial new report as prepared by Pew Research Center.
The report data is summarized to be a reference for other studies and discussions related to the estimate of the Muslim population. Moreover, Muslims are found 24% of the world population or about 2.1 Billion. This will be increased by over one percentage point each decade, reaching one out of four by 2020 and one out of three by 2075.
Figures indicated in the first four columns below are based on the demographic study by the Pew Research Center report of The Future of the Global Muslim Population, as of 2017
